Telescope

If you’re looking for a telescope that gives you the distance you need without weight or bulk, let us introduce you to your next purchase – hand-held telescopes. If you want to observe the night sky, a pair of hand-held binoculars is an excellent and practical alternative to a telescope.

Wide field of vision, easy to use, without complex Settings; They are perfect for beginners and more experienced astronomers. Let’s explore the world of hand-held telescopes.

Natural scenery

1. What is a hand-held telescope?

Hand-held binoculars, also known as monoculars, are popular for hiking, birding, landscape observation, and patrolling. It’s also a telescope that uses smartphone technology to explore the sky. You can use it to easily locate planets, moons and distant stars and calculate their positions in real time. Generally use a 60mm lens to see things 40X closer for a clearer and brighter field of view.

2. Advantages of hand-held telescopes

While there is a wide variety of telescopes in professional and amateur use, hand-held telescopes are very popular. Portable and handheld devices are light, compact and easy to use compared to other telescopic devices sold. They can be used for a variety of activities, such as stargazing, camping, bird watching and hunting.

Handheld telescopes are compact and lightweight, allowing users to clearly spot distant objects without having to lug bulky traditional binoculars.

3. Basic operations for proper use of hand-held binoculars

First of all, if you wear glasses, it is recommended to take them off, or you can also fold the eyepatch of the telescope eyepiece. As you move your eyes closer to the eyepiece, the distance between your eyes and the eyepiece is called the exit pupil distance when you are able to see either the full field of view or the target in your field of view.

The exit pupil distance varies from telescope to telescope, usually between 5-20mm. The rubber eye mask above the eyepiece is designed to keep the eyes at an appropriate distance and feel comfortable when observing. If you need to wear your eyes to view binoculars, the distance between your eyes and the eyepiece will increase, so choose one with a larger exit pupil distance.

Then raise the binoculars, aim at the scene, close your right eye, and use only your left eye to look through the left tube of the telescope. At this time, adjust the sharpness with the focusing wheel in the middle until the left side is clear.

When the left side is clear, open the right eye, close the left eye and begin to adjust the sharpness of the right. Note that at this time, do not use the focus wheel, but use the fine rotation of the right eyepiece to adjust to clear. Finally, when the right side is clear, you can open your eyes. Adjust the distance between the two tubes until it feels comfortable and appropriate.

4. Conclusion

Hand-held binoculars are commonly used for birding, but are also great for hiking, sightseeing, golfing, fishing, and attending festivals, concerts, and sporting events. Many hand-held telescopes are designed to work with smartphones, allowing users to zoom in and photograph objects they cannot see with their phones.

Hand-held binoculars are also a great alternative to traditional binoculars as they allow the user to free up one hand, which is great if you’re carrying a trekking stick, armrest or just want to be more flexible.

Use quality hand-held telescopes to detect and capture meteor showers, planets, and stellar celestial activity. Whether you’re looking for the best handheld telescope to explore the wonders of space or take pictures of constellations and planets, Apexel’s telescopes have enough options to suit your unique needs. Enhance the quality of your viewing experience with hand-held binoculars designed for use at home and in any other outdoor space.
