Differences and precautions between monoculars and binoculars

Apexeloptic2022-04-21T06:13:57+00:00
Binoculars, monocular

A lot of people don’t know whether a single telescope or a pair of binoculars will work.  What are the differences between monoculars and binoculars and matters needing attention? We should choose monoculars or binoculars according to what conditions.  Now make a unified summary to tell everyone: the difference between monoculars and binoculars and matters needing attention, convenient later friend inquiry.

1. On what basis do you choose monoculars and binoculars?

First, if you are a tourist outdoor action with more, carry bird-watching or watch a game, sports meeting, concert and so on, then choose binoculars, its internal structure is more stable than a single telescope, stability is good and easy to carry.

Second, if you’re looking at astronomical landscapes you have to choose a very powerful telescope, which is a single telescope, which has a special triangular stand.  And if you’re looking for quality and you need a camera to take pictures then you have to go with a single telescope, if you go with a pair of binoculars it’s very inconvenient to set up your camera.

2. The difference between monoculars and binoculars

Monoculars and binoculars cannot be distinguished from multiple, so monoculars also have high multiple, binoculars also have low multiple, which mainly depends on how many multiples we buy when we buy.  Binoculars are more three-dimensional because they are more comfortable to use because both eyes are used at the same time. Binoculars are easier to use than single binoculars because the three points of the hands and head form a stable plane.  A single telescope does not have the problem of parallel optical axes between the two tubes and can be designed with higher magnification. It can be designed as a double telescope.  A single telescope weighs about half as much as a double telescope for the same optical parameters.

In effect, the effect of binoculars or better than a monocular telescope, binoculars to our stereo feeling better, binoculars, after all, is to use eyes to see, the monocular telescope is to use one eye to see, and the comfort level of the binoculars will also better than a monocular telescope, monocular telescope to see after a long time will feel tired,  So we have to watch with one eye closed.

The main difference between a single telescope and a pair of binoculars is that they are designed to meet different user needs.  If you are out traveling or watching some football games and concerts and so on, you need to choose a more convenient carry, and more solid, the best choice of binoculars.  But if you want to look at some kind of astronomy and some kind of bird-watching, then you need to choose some kind of high-power telescope, and you need to take pictures and you’d better choose a single telescope.

3. Precautions for using telescopes

First, in the absence of any protective equipment, never telescope observation of the sun, this will cause irreversible damage to the human eye.

Second, the field of view of the telescope should be a complete circle, rather than the common overlap in the middle and two sides of the figure 8 circle, which will only cause bad images and finally hurt the eyes.

Third, for the medium telescope, the correct focusing method is to observe with the left eye first and adjust the focal length at the same time. Open the right eye after the left eye is completely clear, and adjust the diopter of the right eye to make it the clearest.  In this case, the diopter scale of the right eye is the user’s diopter scale. You can write down this scale and adjust the diopter to that scale directly when using the telescope.

Note: each telescope is designed to have a certain range of diopters. If the user’s diopter exceeds this range, the view will not be adjusted to maximum resolution with the naked eye.

Fourth, to focus on a double-tuned telescope, first close either eye, adjust the scene clearly, and then adjust the focus of the other eye until the eye is completely clear.

Fifth, a telescope is a precision optical device.  Regardless of whether the telescope is waterproof or shockproof, use it with care to avoid exposure to rain or snow, and protect it from moisture and shock.
